Beginning June 21, 2025, at 10:00 PM and ending June 22, 2025, at 6:00 AM (ET), Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will be down.
During this timeframe:
- The FDA will not be able to process inbound entries or outbound messages.
- Status messages created during this time frame will be sent to FDA when functionality is fully restored.
- The FDA’s Import Trade Auxiliary Communications System (ITACS) for document submission and status review will also be impacted during this period.
- Do not resubmit entries, as this will increase the processing time when the interface is restored.
Regarding the Prior Notice System impact during this time:
- The Prior Notice System Interface (PNSI) will be operational during the outage window.
- Prior Notices can be submitted via your broker. Please provide your entry and Prior Notice information to your broker as soon as possible for the quickest possible turnaround time.
- There may be a delay in the review of Prior Notices. This delay may lead to Prior Notices being reviewed beyond expected timeframes.
- Please file your Prior Notices early to mitigate the impact of the delay.
- Please do not resubmit entries, as this will cause additional delays
Please submit any relevant paperwork as early as possible before this extended outage, and we will work to process it as quickly as possible.
It is recommended that you avoid importing during this window if possible to minimize lengthy delays.
