On August 20, 2019, the United States Trade Representative announced additional tariffs on products of China under Tranche 4. Tranche four was further broken down into two lists known as List 4(a) and List 4(b).
The 15% additional duties for goods on List 4(a) became effective on September 15, 2019, and List 4(b) was set to become effective on December 15, 2019.
On December 13, 2019, President Trump announced the indefinite suspension of the effective date for the goods under List 4(b).
This is good news as the products on this list are the most frequently imported items from China into the United States.
