Following the recent US-South Korea trade deal, the tariff on most Korean goods will be cut retroactively on November 14th, with cuts on automotives and parts going back to November 1st.
Beginning on November 14th, goods with applicable ad valorem or ad valorem equivalent rate of duty under Column-1-General or Column 1- Special of the tariff schedule below 15% will increase to 15% while goods with a ‘Column 1’ rate of duty above 15% will only pay most-favored nation tariffs - the same being true for automotives and parts beginning on November 1st.
Beginning on November 14th, 2025, section 232 tariffs on Korean lumber, timber, and derivatives will be applied at 15% with a list of Korean civil aircraft and parts being exempt from both the reciprocal and Section 232 tariffs.
