Trade Regulation Updates

Recently, the Food and Drug Administration announced new registration requirements for cosmetics under the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act. Beginning on July 1, 2024, manufacturers, producers, and products will need additional registration to be eligible to be imported into the US. 

This is a courtesy notice to inform you that these new requirements could affect businesses that import certain cosmetic items. 

The list of affected items is here. 

It behooves you to investigate the manufacturers and producers supplying your imports to ensure they comply with the new required registration. You may need to discuss who is responsible for specific product registrations. 

Beginning July 1st, PCB will require the following information to process the affected goods: 

• Manufacturer Registration Information
• Product Registration
• A Copy of the Current Label
