In a notice released on August 15, 2025, the US Commerce Department announced its intention to add an additional 407 Harmonized Tariff Schedule codes to the list of steel and aluminum derivatives that are currently subject to Section 232 tariffs.
This update will come into effect on 12:01 AM ET on August 18, 2025, and will result in these 407 HS codes receiving the 50% Section 232 tariff.

This addition is part of an ongoing campaign of additions that began in May and is expected to resume again with inclusion requests in early September.
