The Merchandise Processing Fee Will Increase

Please be advised that effective January 1st, 2018, U.S. Customs and Border Protection will increase the Merchandise Processing Fee (MPF) to reflect inflation.
Below is an excerpt from the notice.
"This document announces that U.S.Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is adjusting certain customs user fees and limitations established by the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) for Fiscal Year 2018 in accordance with the Fixing America's Surface Transportation Act (FAST Act) as implemented by CBP regulations published elsewhere in this  issue of the"
Rate Increase
Although the rate used to calculate MFP will remain unchanged, the minimum and maximum fees have increased to :
  •  Minimum fee: $25.67
  •  Maximum fee: $497.99
